As said, we went shopping, so lots of pounds spend there and in the evening we had take out. This was a not so pleasant evening as everyone was pretty hungry and we forgot to book in a pub so we first had to find one but in the end we decided to do take out. Tanja and I had kind of a row, but it's al right now. We had heaps of fun when we looked back on our behaviour on Sunday.
Sunday was for most of the others working day, as they had to do some more work for History. I had, to be truly honest, a lazy day. In the evening we saw a movie and went to bed, ready for the next teaching week.

Monday morning, always the worst (Garfield will agree...) My first lesson was French: This lesson was another one than last week. This time we had to practise role plays with them. In the beginning I really didn’t have a clue on what to do. The pupils helped me out really good and the start of the lesson was slightly better than last time. It was good that we got to know the pupils a little bit by now.
The first time I just did what I thought I was supposed to do, the next bit I asked side questions and got into it, whereas the third time I really started talking in French with them and didn’t pay attention anymore on whoever’s turn it was and it the last round they even suggested on going first or second so that was really great.
I feel my French is upgrading, although their French isn’t that brilliant, but I like it when they ask me for a word or expression and I am actually able to tell them the correct way to say it. I’ve learned so much by now on how to handle these guys and I’m never afraid any more of teaching French to these guys. They are really so sweet and helpful and if you go into a joke with them, they just go along, not like in Belgium where they go like “Oh, my god, is she trying to make a joke”. I do get along with them very well and I like teaching at Groby, just because there is this lose atmosphere of friendship between teacher and students.
P.E. : Martyn was absent in his lesson and Mark took over, but wasn’t informed about the fact that Tanja and I were doing something together. So, we left the lesson, because we saw no point in us staying there, if we couldn’t do what we prepared to do…

In the evening, we worked some more and Sophie came by to eat with us, informed us about the observations we are going to do in her school and left. We went to bed early as all of us were really tired.
Today was a busy day. My day started of in Business, assisting Jo. We had some fun there as there was a guy who asked me to explain an English word and I felt so honoured that I could explain it to him. Timmy said I had some three personal fans more ... Jo even complemented me, as these guys (there were three of them) were mainly not of the working type and when I was there they really worked. So, I felt rather good about that.
After this: running of to Dance. Why did I do this in the first place? I can tell you I've never been more tormented than that lesson. Never suggest pupils to teach you some moves ... Bad idea. Warming up was again a torture with Fiona. The groups I worked in were really brilliant, but sometimes a bit too high level for me. I had to do this move in which I had to come up from the floor with my legs bent and push me up, using one arm and being elegant with the back. I was shouting: I can do this, I really can ... Until I was in the middle of this move and fell back on my buttom. Typically me of course, but I had some fun there. Showing and visualising on demand when I am back in Belgium, or for Mrs Vermeulen: Sunday!

After this I had a free period in which I mainly recovered from dance and had a little meeting with Nick about our Thursday's lesson about multiculturality.
The last period, I had business in the A - level class, so year 13. Boy, that was fun. They were supposed to work when Carlyn left, but all they did was asking questions about Belgium and stuff like that. We had some fun, because we had the chance to get to know these people and their interest, without having the intention to do it.
This was it, folks! More later ...
Greetings
Natalia
