Shall I compare thee to Stratford upon Avon? ... Impossible

Hello,

Finally gotten into the internet. It's really hard to get logged on, when all six of us are on the internet. But well, your famous reporter has gotten onto it, so prepare to be scared! ARe you brave enough to read this experience?? ( this sentence might not scare you, but wait until you enter a big dark room with creapy music and only Timmy to seek comfort to!)

We had a really great weekend. On Saturday we went shopping and Timmy got his hair cut. OMG, we never expected him to do that, but apperently he has gotten some manly characteristics (the balls) ... It's really much better now.

That evening we decided to go clubing Dancing ( well actually Tanja and Ann really nagged our ears of ... Nah, only kidding!). It was a real weird and odd experience, as we were like about the only white people in the club. We were mainly surrounded by Pakis and Indians. Speaking of a lifetime experience! We were home about three o'clock p.m. and on Sunday, we were all very lazy, because non of us had slept a lot. I can't talk for the others, but I took a little nap (of two and a half hours) before we had the big sunday diner. Every one was there and Molly cooked a lovely diner, and of course pie, but it felt a bit awkward to me, as I didn't really felt part of the family at that point. Probably just me, because I do had a great time that evening, but I was so stuffed!

Today was probably one of the best in the whole period of our stay. I really enjoyed our trip to Stratford. I bought some magnificent things and at a certain point, I definitely had to stop because my bag was starting to weigh on my shoulder. But I mean, the complete works of Shopping Spree William Shakespeare for £1.99, can't beat that, right? The town was so lovely and the walk we did was so much fun. I felt like as if I were back in old England. We wanted to enter the birthplace of WS, but we had to visit all the houses and because we thought it was rather expensive just to go into someones house, we didn't do this. I now regret it, as I really would have loved going in there, but £9 was a bit too much for "house seeing".

I ate my first fish and chips, and at first it was all wonderful and allright, but later on I got really sick, so probably, it's not my cup of tea. Or is it food? Only kidding ... The church was not that impressive ( The Holy Trinity) but still worthwhile in my opnion. We saw WS's grave, which again was dissapointingly small, but apperently that's because most of his work was published after his death, so now it makes perfect sense to me why it was so small. Church

I had like the biggest embarrassing moment in my life when bigmouth me said I wanted to go into the Creaky Cauldron, because it looked spooky. Ann and Timmy joined me and I was the only chicken poo in the group. I discovered that I can't see anything in total darkness with little lights. I never felt at ease, and always expected people to jump on me to give me a good scare, atlhough only Timmy did that (he thought it was funny and it probably was as I screamed for Shocked 1 entire Stratfordshire ). They said I was cute, as Timmy said that I always have a big mouth but now I was holding his hand like the last straw ... The only room I liked was the Harry Potter one. We could do the sorting hat thing, and this was really fun. I was sorted with Huffelpuf, but I think the bloke just pressed any button as he sorted Timmy to Slytherin (and Timmy isn't that badblooded at all!)!

This evening we had dinner with Sophie and her parents. Sophie is a girl who also came to Leicester two years ago and decided she loved it so much, that she stayed here! (OK maybe the English boyfriend was a big incentive, but still, it's thoughts that count) We had so much fun during this meal. Oh dear, but how confusing it was talking both English and Dutch.

This said and done we are now in our beds typing this blog, keeping you up. It's rather late as you can tell at the time of this posting. Tomorrow we have Warwick Castle planned, so looking forward to more scares, as Sophie said they also had a haunted section. Wooooooooow, I want to do that ... maybe ... We'll see tomorrow! (I always want to do those things until I am actually in the dark, then I want to go back.)

Whish you all lovely dreams and more ...

I tried to put a message on here earlier but this thing wants me to give my google account (pareidolia) but I didn't know that so it failed...

Anyway: I can read you're having a lovely time over there... I'm jealous! Especially for your bargain buy of 1,99! But hey I go to Edward Scissorhands this Friday :p (want me to find you a "souvenir"?).

    Kiss, Margot
